Malcolm Margolis an associate of REM Associates and is President of Barclay Consulting Associates, a logistics management consulting firm located in Larchmont, New York, just north of New York City. Barclay Consulting specializes in helping client companies improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their supply chain operations. He has twenty-eight years experience as a logistics consultant.

Prior to founding Barclay Consulting Associates thirteen years ago, Mr. Margolis was employed by two leading logistics management consulting firms: Drake Sheahan/Stewart Dougall in New York City and A. T. Kearney in New York City and Chicago. He is a specialist in the areas of strategic logistics planning, customer service operations and inventory management policies and procedures.

He has been actively involved with the application of computer modeling techniques for long-range logistics planning purposes, the development of JIT programs for reducing and controlling inventories and the installation of logistics planning, operating and control systems such as DRP and MRP.

He recently spent two years leading the reorganization and reengineering of logistics operations at a large OTC drug company in New Jersey, which included the selection, modification and installation of several BPCS modules.

During his consulting career, he has worked with over one hundred companies in a wide variety of industries. In many cases, he served as project manager or lead consultant. He is a frequent speaker at Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, Warehouse Education and Research Council and other professional organization seminars.
