Mr. Kulp is an associate of REM Associates and a principal of Brinmar Consulting Associates, a firm established to counsel corporate management in the improvement of business processes, particularly those associated with logistics supply chain management activities. He has more than twenty years' experience including purchasing, production planning and scheduling, inventory planning and management, distribution network design and management, transportation including private fleet management, customer service, training and internal management consulting. This experience encompasses all aspects of management from strategic planning to policy, procedure and operational budget responsibility.
In a year long assignment, Mr. Kulp led a team of associates in an "intrapreneurial" activity that introduced the process of out-sourcing products to his company. This involved all aspects of business activity from market research, product design and testing to pricing, marketing and distribution and included selection of and negotiation with international suppliers. His experience includes numerous consulting and process improvement projects ranging from data processing and telecommunications for a major corporation composed of seven operating companies to plant location studies and capacity allocation systems for a major ceramic tile manufacturer.
Mr. Kulp's specialty is designing and implementing logistics supply chain systems to effectively forecast demand, purchase raw materials and products for resale, plan and schedule production, including MRP and related systems, manage finished goods inventory, fill customer orders and move products through a distribution network as well as improve business administrative processes. A significant portion of his experience involved leading teams which identified process improvements and training associates during the implementation of improved procedures.
Mr. Kulp is a graduate of Muhlenberg College with a B. S. in Business Administration and received an M. B. A. degree with an emphasis in quantitative business analysis from Drexel University. He is certified at the Fellow level in production and inventory management.
Mr. Kulp is an active member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, the American Production and Inventory Control Society and the Warehousing Education and Research Council. He has been a speaker at chapter meetings, seminars and annual technical conferences and is a past president of the Delaware Valley Roundtable of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals. His business skills have also been applied in his local community where he has participated in numerous community service organizations and served on local government operating boards.
